We've just returned from a little family getaway camping trip to Memory Cove, in the Port Lincoln National Park. It took about 2 hours to get to the camping spot at Memory Cove from Port Lincoln. We had to book in and pick up a key from the Visitor Information Centre in town to access the beach. There's 5 campsites at Memory Cove and there is a 3 night stay limit. Lots of people said to watch out for snakes but we didn't see any thank God!! Once we finally arrived we were not disappointed with what greeted us. White sands, sparkling blue waters and breathtaking scenery. If you haven't been it should definitely be on your list of places to visit! The kids made friends with some German children who were camping in the site next to us. The sites were fairly spaced out so we didn't see much of the other campers, which made for a very relaxing stay, until the cruise ship arrived and gate-crashed the party!
They love each other really.
Quite a bit of history to this place, makes it seem all the more magical.
The Great Aussie Dream
Just when we thought we had this secluded, isolated piece of paradise to ourselves a cruise ship pulled up and unloaded a big group of people onto the beach!
